radii relaunches the IPS website at www.ips.us

We’ve handled Integrated Power Services, or IPS, since they opened their doors in June 2007. IPS is the nation’s leading independent provider of power services electric motor and generator repair for continuous process industries, such as power generation, petrochemicals, mining and metals. We created the brand, launched the first website and built an integrated marketing platform that includes advertising, collateral, tradeshows, public relations, direct mail and internal communications. The new site integrates the former IPS site with the sites of the other IPS companies — IPS Electro-Mec, IPS Monarch, IPS PennCoil and IPS TRICO.

Retooling a brand during a recession? Ballsy.

Over the years, we’ve seen companies cut back on their marketing during economic downturns, and we always say, “Well, they’ll pick back up when the economy does.” Other companies see these downturns as opportunities to pick up market share and put a little hurt on their competition.

A client came to us recently with an interesting question. His CEO and board of directors had asked, “How do we achieve maximum brand value?” The temptation was to say “Add a couple of zeroes to your marketing budget and leave it to us,” but we’re professionals, if nothing else, so we decided to look into this. It turns out we were half right…
